  This month's kewl links focus on using templates to make the connection between technology and curriculum!  Teachers are connecting Standards and Benchmarks to these lessons.
Little Lake's Sequenced Lessons   Sequential lessons that are easy for a very young student to follow.  These lessons are in English as well as Espanol.
Churchill Road School Tech Lab   Joanne Goodwin has created a vast resource of K-6 ideas, many of which are utilizing Kid Pix Studio. 
Sandy's Tips on Utilizing Templates   Sandy Beck's resources on teaching with templates is the best!   She has many useful links and helpful tips in using templates in Excel.

  This hunt takes students back in time to investigate the use of early trees as well as to Christmas tree farms to learn about planting and harvesting.

January   This months KEWL site focuses on math in the next millennium.   The Internet has truly exploded with so many resources for all age levels!    Interactive sites for the very young spring interest and motivation to reluctant learners.  Check out the links and resources!
A + Math   Students answer basic operations interactively through flashcards as well as with games such as Matho and Hidden Picture.  Geometric shapes, money and rounding are included as flashcards.    
Room 108 Math   Mad Minute on the computer will definitely get your students scrambling to learn basic facts.   Try the online calculator as well as the number sliders.  Room 108 is a very special classroom.
Web Class   This site offers multiplication drill using the specific times tables.  A student can really focus on improving their weak areas!

  Check out probability and measuring area or perimeter of polygons.  Mrs. Glosser's Math Goodies is full of interesting and fun activities.
The Learning Planet   The Learning Planet offers activities on different developmental levels, Pre-K, 1-3 and 4-6+.   Check out the Space Math in the 1-3 section.
Kid's Carnival   Students will love this truly interactive time site.   This site like many other interactive sites require a longer download.
Quia's Math Journey   This Quia, allows you to select level of difficulty in answering addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and rounding to travel on a fun filled journey.  Buckle up!
MathStories.com   What a great site that integrates math and language arts.  Check out the math stories based on popular children's books.

March   This months KEWL site focuses on creative Kid Pix sites, kite sites, and helpful links for teaches. Teachers are extremely busy preparing students for ITBS, meeting with parents for spring conferences and sending out narratives. Check out the 27 tips for parent conferences.
20 Kites 20 Kids 20 Minutes   Time tested instructions on how to get twenty kids to make simple kites in twenty minutes.
How to go and Fly a Kite   This site was created due to a physics project.  Brainstorm how a kite flies and then go to this site.

April   This months KEWL site focuses on Earth Day and Arbor Day.  This is just a small listing of sites that heighten environemental awareness.  Many links are found on these sites.
Earth Day   This is the official Internatioal Earth Day site. 
National Arbor Day   National Arbor Day is April 29.  Check this site out for more information on individual state Arbor Days.
Kidsdomain Earth Day   Clip Art for Earth Day.  Kidsdomain rules when it come to clipart that relates to holidays.
Earth Day Pop Quiz   Surprise your students with this pop quiz about garbage and landfills.
Millenium Green Kids   Millenium Green Kids 2000 is a national project to heighten awareness. It is a project that asks us all to protect and care for the natural wonders and treasures of the Earth.

May   This months KEWL site focuses on bicycle safety since May is Bike Awareness Month.  Let's do our part to be sure they follow the safety rules and always wear a helmet.  It's the law in Georgia!
Red Cross Bicycle Safety   Easy to read site with a few basic rules to follow.  A quick introduction for bicycle safety.
CPSC   Consumer Product Safety Commission lists ten smart routes to bicycle safety in a poster form.
Austin Connections Bicycle Safety Tips   An easy to read site that lists the rules that students need to follow.
Kevin's Road Safety Page   A really neat kids site that has an online safety quiz.  This site also contains information on bus, car and walking saftey.  Students will enjoy going on the road with Kevin!
Kite Safety   Mazes, word searches and coloring pages illustrate some of the dangers of kite flying.
Cranium Canyon   Cranium Canyon focus on getting into the helmet habit.  Another site with lots of kid appeal.
Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute   Bicycle Safety Institute has a quiz to print.  Their quiz is an Internet Scavenger Hunt.   To get to quick answers to the quiz use the Quick Answer Site.
Bicycle Command Center   Another online quiz from the Illinois State Police.  Ten questions, five true false and five multiple choice cover the basics of bike safety.
Pedaling History Bicycle Museum   To find our loads of information on bicycle history check out the Pedaling Museum.  Lots of interesting facts about bicycles.
