Math If-Then Activity

  1. Type the word Problems in Cell A1.
  2. Type the word Answers in Cell A2.
  3. Now follow the directions to input the formula in Cell C2. Drag and reference the cells.
  4. Type the following problems in the cells identified below:

A2 >   8 x 4 =
A3 >   9 x 3 =
A4 >   4 x 9 =
A5 >   5 x 5 =
A6 >   4 x 2 =
A7 >   7 x 3 =
A8 >   3 x 8 =
A9 >   9 x 5 =
A10 > 8 x 6 =
A11 > 5 x 8 =

  1. Now change the answers in the cells C3 to C11 to reflect the correct answers. Insert your cursor in front or behind the answer and delete or backspace.  Type in the correct answer for that problem.

Format the borders and add shading if desired.  Your activity will look like this before you hide the answers column.
