Activity Three:  Utilizing Bookmarks,
Horizontal Lines, and WebBot Component

Getting Started:
1.  Go to Start, Teachers, Programs and click FrontPage Express.
2.  Go to Page Properties by right clicking.
3.  Title the page Rainbow Bookmarks.
4.  Select a background color.
5.  Change your hyperlink colors as well.
6.  Click OK.
7.  Do a Save As and name your page to save in the appropriate folder.

Follow these directions for the activity by typing in the following text:

1.  Select heading one, select font, center align and type Rainbow Bookmarks.
2.  Hit enter twice and decrease font size and type:

Red || Blue || Green

3.  Hit enter three times, select left justification and type Red.
4.  Hit enter three times and type Blue.
5.  Hit enter three times and type Green.
6.  Hit enter two times and select center justification and type: TOP

Inserting Bookmarks

1. Highlight the word red in the left alignment column.
2.  Go to Edit and click Bookmark.
3.  Notice the Bookmark name "Red" and click ok.  Good idea to keep name the same!
4.  The word red should now be underlined with a dotted line.
5.  Highlight the word red at the top of the page with the center alignment.
6.  Click the earthlink and then in the http: field, type #red.
7.  The link should now appear.
8.  Do the same for blue and green.

More Practice:

1.  Highlight the title, Rainbow
2.  Go to Edit and click Bookmark.
3.  Notice the Bookmark name and click ok. 
4.  The title Rainbow should now be underlined with a dotted line.
5.  Highlight the word Top at the bottom of the page.
6.  Click the earthlink and then in the http: field, type #Rainbow to bookmark.
7.  The link should now appear.
8.  As always test your links.

Inserting a Horizontal Line
1.  Place your cursor under the title, Rainbow to insert your line.
2.  Go Insert and click Horizontal Line.
3.  Right click on the line to pop up the horizontal line properties.
4.  Select the modifications desired to match your page.
5.  Add a line at the bottom of the page.

Inserting A Time Stamp
1.  Place your cursor below the bottom line.
2.  Type the text: Last updated:
2.  Go to Insert  and click Insert WebBot Component.
3.  Select the Timestamp. 
4.  Select how the time will be displayed, last edited or last update.
5.  Select date and time format from the drop down menus.
6.  Click OK.  Save the page!

Viewing Your Page in Internet Explorer
1.  Open Internet Explorer.
2.  Go to File on the menu bar and select open.
3.  Click the check box in front of the Words "Open as a Web Folder."
4.  Click the Browse button and go to your H: drive and locate the folder that contains your web page.
5.  Double click the folder and the web page you wish to open.
6.  Be sure the check box in front of the words " Open as Web Folder" is checked.
7.  Click Open.  When the next dialog box appears click Yes and your web page will
Launch.  Check your links!
