Setting up Page and Adding a Background:
1. Right click on composition area. Click Page Properties.
2. Name your page: Thanksgiving Hotlist.
3. Click the background tab. Select
yellow for background color.
4. Select maroon for text color.
5. Select maroon for Hyperlink and Visited Hyperlink.
6. Select black for Active Hyperlink.
Capturing and Inserting Graphic:
1. Go to Internet Explorer, Favorites, FrontPage and open Activity Two Library Page.
2. Right click on the turkey graphic. Click Save Picture As:
3. Go to your H: drive and save in your graphics folder.
4. Now go to the Insert Image icon on your FrontPage toolbar.
5. Click the browse button and locate the turkeywav.gif in Your H: drive.
6. Double click to place image on your page.
Inserting Text
1. Right click on Image and select the Image Properties.
2. Select the Appearance Tab and select middle for Alignment. Click OK.
3. Type Thanksgiving Hotlist. Be sure you select a large font size.
4. Press enter.
Inserting a Horizontal Line:
1. Go to Insert on the menubar. Select Insert Horizontal Line.
2. Right click on top of the horizontal line and select line properties.
3. Change the line color to maroon.
4. Press enter twice.
Adding Links:
1. Go to font style and select Bulleted List
2. Type: A Walking Tour of Plimoth Plantation. Press enter once.
3. Type: Plimoth on the Web. Press enter once.
4. Type Virtual Tour of Plimoth Plantation. Press enter once.
5. Type Thanksgiving Traditions and History.
6. Highlight the first link, go to library page and copy first URL.
7. Go back to FrontPage and click the earthlink icon and paste URL after http:
8. Link the other pages by following the directions above.
Finishing touches:
1. Insert another horizontal line.
2. Press enter to be below the line and type your name and date.
3. Go to File, Save As and save in your H: drive.
4. Preview in Internet Explorer.
