Voting Online
Thanks to all the teachers and classes that participated in Midway Votes 2004. It was a great success due to all involved. Greg Orr, Cindy Hatcher, Vicki Kosko, Dianne Meyer and our student council poll workers did and excellent job organizing this learning opportunity for our students. Please view the results at Midway's home page as well as the links below.

Dear Soldier Online Project
Dear Soldier is a wonderful project that joins students all over the county in writing post cards to our troops stationed all over the world. When you register, you will be sent a PDF document with over 50 addresses where you can choose to mail your postcards/letters to. There are links on the site for guidance as well. Templates with thematic stationary are included at the site. Please let me know if you register online with Dear Soldier.
We will also be posting pictures in a scrapbook for our overseas family members to view. Please let me know if you would be interested in helping with this project.

How do you keep your toolbars customized with Office XP?
When using Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.. I like to have access to several different toolbars. You can customize your toolbars but in order to keep the settings on your XP desktops and notebooks, you must run the Profile Wizard.

Follow these steps to keep your toolbar settings:

  • Open each Microsoft Program and customize the toolbars for that program.
  • Go to View>Toolbars and check the toolbars that you would like to be visible each time you use the programs. You always want to be sure the standard and formatting toolbar are checked. Picture and Drawing are also useful toolbars to check.
  • Close each program after customizing the toolbars.
  • Go to Start > Programs > Config Changes and select Profile Wizard.
  • Complete the wizard to set the toolbars.
  • If you make changes in any of the programs you will need to run the Profile Wizard again.
