Teacher Web Page Update
Creating an appealing web page and providing relevant information for parents and students can be a lot of work. After planning the layout of the pages, the work becomes quicker and easier. Remember these important points as you layout your pages for this year. Click here for general directions.

  • Provide timely and current information on the Welcome Page. Inform parents and students about current curriculum topics and classroom events. Use a photo or image the goes with topic. Try to use no more than two sizes of fonts and not too many colors. Click here for directions on resizing graphics.
  • Classroom information page can be a more static page. Information can be items that reflect what will be happening in your classroom throughout the year. Schedules, classroom rules, homework guidelines and discipline procedures are great resources for parents and students to refer to.
  • The Professional Experience page should provide your educational experiences and professional development activities.
  • Educational Links should be links that are your favorite resources. These can also be learning links for students or additional resources for parents. Click here for directions on how to add a link to the body of the welcome page or classroom information page.

Great Classroom Clipart Site
Classroom Clipart is organized into categories and is very useful when you need to find an image for your newletter or teaching materials.

Image Byte
When working on the web, I use my own graphics that I create in Fireworks. This year on my e-link newsletter I will be creating and sharing some of these images so that you may use them in your newsletter. Right click on the image to save the file to an appropriate folder. Let me know of images we may need for clubs or activities.
