Do’s and Don’ts

Do use the strap around your neck.
Don’t shake or drop the unit.
Do not get the unit wet.
Do not point the viewfinder toward the sun.
Do not let students use this camera at this time.
Do become familiar with the camera and its components.
Don’t leave the camera sitting out for sticky fingers.
Do return the camera to the media center nightly if possible.

 

The Three Main Operating Options:

Still - allows you to take a still shot.
Movie - allows you to film a video clip.
Play - allows you to view images on camera LCD panel.

Recording Still Images
  • Set option to Still. Turn the camera power button on and remove the lens cover.
  • Press the shutter button halfway down to set exposure and focus.
  • Press the shutter button fully down to record image to a disk.

 

Still Options - To change press the round button to get the menu.
REC MODE - allows you to select record mode. (Number is for standard settings)
normal - 10 to 16 images
e-mail - 25 to 40 images
voice - 9-14 images
bitmap - 1 image

format - formats disk and remove images

Recording Movie Images
  • Set record option to movie. Turn the camera power button on and remove the lens cover.
  • Press the shutter button down momentarily.
  • Press the shutter button fully down. The image and sound are recorded until you release it.
Movie options - To change press the round button to get the menu.

Playing Back Images
  • Set record option to play. Turn the camera power button on and remove the lens cover.
  • Select arrows to scroll and view images.
  • Select INDEX to view thumbnails on LCD panel.
Play Back Image Options: To change options press the round button to get the menu.
PROTECT

on - protects selected image
COPY
OK - copies images to another disk
Cancel (default)
DELETE
OK- deletes selected images from the disk.
