Welcome to the Branch House Christmas Tree Photo Album-An Estimation Activity. The Branch House is located in Crossnore, North Carolina right in the heart of Avery County. Avery County is the home for many frazier fir farms. The locals boast that it is the "Frazier Fir Capital of the World." Look at the photos below and try the estimation activity to see if you can estimate the height of each tree. Remember it takes seven to eight years for a young tree to mature into a Christmas tree. |

| Directions: Number a piece of paper from one to eight. Look at each picture and estimate each tree's height by inches and record the information.
