The productivity tools a computer offers coupled with real life situations in the classroom has taken math to a new level. Students gain by demonstrating and modeling math concepts learned through their drawings, writings, and demonstation of numeration skills. These tools and applications can be wonderful assessment tools.

Students can use the following activities to review and assess skills in counting change. Students can use coins in the symbol library to fill the boxes in this inspiration template. Using the moving van tool in Kid Pix, students can manipulate the mouse to move the change to the appropriate boxes. Use the Piggy Bank site to create your templates!

Picturing Math  

Using the digital camera students can take pictures to display math they view everyday in their school building. Coupled with calculating and writing this becomes a very powerful tool.
